The Star in Frisco continues to expand.
Much is already known about the Dallas Cowboys football components, now the commercial space is coming to the forefront.
The next major player in the development is FM Global, a commercial property insurance company. FM Global will occupy the largest amount of Class-A commercial space at The Star, taking up more than 79,000 square feet across the fifth and sixth floors, including that tower’s entire top floor. The Star includes 398,000 square feet of Class A commercial office space that spans eight floors, including a two-story, underground parking garage.
FM Global is a multi-national, mutual insurance company whose capital, scientific research capability and engineering expertise are solely dedicated to property risk management and the resilience of its client-owners.
The addition was announced by Blue Star Land, a real estate firm owned by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his family.
The move will bring more than 300 of FM Global’s employees, most from their current offices in Plano, to the site in June 2017.
The Star is a 91-acre, mixed-used development that includes the Cowboys headquarters and training facilities, a 12,000-seat multi-use event center along with plans for an Omni Hotel, Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research Center, and multiple retail outlets.
Commercial office space at The Star was designed by Gensler and limited space is still available via Lincoln Property Company .
