A new downtown Dallas high-rise has landed another major tenant.
Law firm Husch Blackwell LLP is moving its Dallas office to the 1900 Pearl tower in the Arts District.
The Kansas City-based legal firm has leased more than 20,000 square feet of space in the building at Pearl Street and Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Dallas building permits show.
Husch Blackwell is currently located in the Trammell Crow Center skyscraper on Ross Avenue.
“We expect to make the move between Thanksgiving and Christmas,” Husch Blackwell’s Dallas managing partner Richard Illmer said.
Officials with Lincoln Property, which built 1900 Pearl, would not comment on specific tenants coming to the building. “But are we are 88 percent leased,” Lincoln’s Jake Young said in an email.
Completed early this year, the 1900 Pearl tower is next to the Meyerson Symphony Center and overlooks Klyde Warren Park.
The 25-story building is owned by Goldman Sachs.
Husch Blackwell is the latest firm to select the new Dallas project as its new home.
Maverick Capital, a Dallas-based investment adviser and hedge fund, recently rented more than 20,000 square feet at 1900 Pearl.
Law firm Baker McKenzie and Steward Health Care are also major tenants in the just-completed high-rise.
